Perth
receives around 800mm of rain a year. That means that every square metre of
your roof receives 800 litres of clean water a year. For your average house
that means 200,000 litres of rain landing on your roof each year and simply
draining away. You can capture some of this rain and use it for watering your
garden, drinking, even flushing toilets and filling your washing machine.
For the
majority of urban dwellings slimline rain water tanks are a great option,
fitting neatly under eaves or along fences. Or, if you're building, you may want to consider an underground rain water tank. This allows for substantial storage while keeping the tank and pump out of sight. Our underground tanks are even available with a drivable lid so you can put them under your driveway.
Connection of the tank to internal
fittings provides significant water savings and, coupled with an automatic
sensor and switching device, ensures an uninterrupted supply and continuous use
of the rain water for maximum use of the tank.
H2Only sells and installs a range of quality, locally-made tanks from 570-litre modular to 3000-litre under-eaves tanks. Our tanks are manufactured from durable, non-corrosive polyethylene and are available in a variety of Colorbond colours.
At only 580mm deep by 640mm wide, our 570-litre modular tanks are ideal when space is limited or for harvesting water from a number of downpipes around the house. The modules can be linked for as much storage as you want.
Only requiring slightly more space are the 3000-litre under-eaves tanks. Just 750mm deep, they offer substantial storage in a surprisingly small space. These can also be linked if needed.
If you have space available under your house or beneath decking you may want to consider a bladder tank. Sizes range from 350 litres to 5000 litres and they can be installed in areas with as little as two feet of clearance.
Our
licensed plumbers will expertly install and connect your rain water tank as well as
options such as RainBank or Waterswitch, first flush diverters, leaf filters, mosquito guards etc. Call for details or to arrange a home assessment.
